Important Updates

Rocks in the nuisance strips: We reached out to the City of Hutto to confirm right of way options. Many residents have asked if they can permanently concrete over these areas. Unfortunately, the answer is no. The City of Hutto's Code Enforcement department has confirmed that these areas cannot have a permanent hardscape as it would be detrimental to crews accessing utilities.

*IF you have already done this, make plans to have it removed ASAP. There are no ARC applications on file with an approval. Please remember, all exterior modifications need to go through the ARC process. The city does have an active code enforcement department. Also contact the office to let management know the timeframe you need to remove it so notices will not be sent by the Association. We cannot control when the city does their inspections, so keep that in mind, as well.

Courtesy Request

As the holiday season gets underway, please be courteous of neighbors when having get togethers. Parking is a huge concern, as our streets are very narrow. If your guest damages property, please make sure the guest takes care of the damage. Vehicles are limited to passenger vehicles, as commercial/industrial/work vehicles, RVs/boats/trailers are not permitted in Emory Crossing unless inside your closed garage.

Quick FYIs

  • If you see an irrigation leak, please text 737.268.8474 with a picture and location. We can contact the irrigator ASAP to isolate.
  • Streetlights are maintained by Oncor. If you notice damage or an outage, please report it directly to Oncor for prompt service: https://www.oncorstreetlight.com/. Detailed instructions have been added to the FAQs on EmoryCrossing.com.
  • Street sweepers are scheduled on Wednesdays. Builder trash cleanup is scheduled weekly. Please report (with location and pictures) excessive trash. Please also take into consideration the wind. While the builders are trying to keep everything contained, it will not be perfect.

Winter Weather Tips

  • Freezing Weather: As we enter Winter, please be mindful of hard freezes. These typically happen more in January and February. Cover your outside hose bib(s), drip your faucets, open cabinet doors, set your heat to no lower than 55 degrees. Dishwashers on exterior walls should not be used during or immediately after periods of extreme cold.
  • HVAC inspections: It is always a good idea to have your HVAC systems checked yearly. When you first turn your heater on for the season, there is often a foul smell. This is usually debris/dust that has settled on the heating elements. That is why it is important to have an inspection completed.
  • Chimney Inspections: Soot can build up if you are using real wood. Please have your chimney inspected and cleaned before you light your first fire.
  • Condos: E-8 In your Community Manual states from November 1st through March 25th, units may not be left unheated. Water lines on exterior walls should be allowed to drip during freezing weather.
