Family Humanitarian has the privilege of working with Chief Elizabeth Atieno Ajuang of Kenya. Speaking on behalf of 36 villages and more than 23,000 residents where she serves as Chief, she shared how thankful the residents of her region are for the help they have received. “I am very happy, and I am expressing my gratitude to Family Humanitarian for the humanitarian services they are giving to our people,” she said. This help is made possible because of generous donations, which are changing lives in amazing ways.
She reflected on how, before Family Humanitarian came, many families did not have clean water. She said that children and their mothers had to walk very far to get water, and this made children late for school or made them miss school completely. The water they found was often dirty and made people sick. “Now we have clean and safe water for use in school and even in our homes. Life has really changed,” Chief Elizabeth explained. Because of the new boreholes, children are healthier, they can go to school on time, and mothers have more time to grow food and care for their families.
Chief Elizabeth also remembered the first borehole Family Humanitarian built in Kenya. She said that during a drought, “the sun was scorching… Women and children were scrambling for water,” she said. Today, the community is celebrating because everything is different. Clean water has brought hope, health, and a better future. These miracles are possible because people chose to give. As Chief Elizabeth said, “Thank you, Family Humanitarian… May God bless you abundantly.”
We are so grateful for the generous donations received in 2025, and we look forward to blessing 1000's of lives in the year to come. Thank you!
