Mississippi Farmers Market
Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m .

September is More Matters Month for Fruit and Veggies!

Monday was Labor Day, and like most traditional holidays
many people had the day off to celebrate the unofficial end of summer.
Cookouts, pool parties, picnics and bargain hunting seem
to be the norm for a good old long holiday weekend.
Of course, as Miss Manners and Emily Post have repeatedly pointed out,
wearing white after Labor Day is unseemly and should be avoided at all costs.
Therefore, Labor Day has also become the wear-everything-white day!
People frantically try to wear as much white
as possible before the fashion police pull them over.
Here at the Mississippi Farmers Market we have declared such
a ruling as out of date, out of touch and just wrong!
Feel free to wear white at our market whenever you please, even if you look ridiculous.

September is also Fruit and Veggies - More Matters Month.
It's a month-long observance of the importance of eating more
fruits and vegetables for your health and well-being.
It's easy, delicious and fun to eat more fruit and veggies when you shop at
the Mississippi Farmers Market!
