Rooted & Rising

2026 | Fall | Issue 4

HELLO Wonderful Clients, Friends & Colleagues!

Somehow, summer turned into fall before I finished writing my July newsletter. Maybe there's a lesson in that, too: life moves quickly, priorities shift, and sometimes the most important thing we can do is make room for what matters.

As America marks 250 years, I've been thinking about opportunity and the courage that often comes before it. Years ago, my parents left everything familiar to build a life in the United States. Their courage and sacrifice created opportunities for my sisters and me that continue to shape who we are today.

It reminds me that opportunity isn't only something we're given. It's something we can create for others. And lately, I've had the privilege of seeing that happen in some pretty wonderful ways.

Rooted & Rising | Watching People Grow

Micaela first came into my life as a Wilmington University student navigating graduation and the start of her career. I've had the joy of mentoring her through resumes, networking, interviews and eventually celebrating that first career opportunity.

Today, that relationship has grown in a pretty wonderful way. Micaela continues to grow professionally and now brings her talents to Spark Your Soul as our Instagram Coordinator.

"Sital shared her excitement with me when I landed my first job in my career... Sital is a wonderful mentor and woman and we will continue this journey together!" — Micaela Campbell

And that journey continues! You'll be hearing directly from Micaela in future issues of Rooted & Rising through her very own recurring feature: Micaela's Moment.

The best measure of our impact is watching someone else rise.

THE HUMAN SIDE Spark Your Soul

Beyond the Pink

This October, Spark Your Soul is going beyond awareness to action.

Through our Beyond the Pink campaign, we're creating simple, meaningful ways to support those navigating breast cancer and survivorship—not just with encouragement, but with the everyday things that can make life a little lighter.

Because sometimes support looks like a kind word.

And sometimes it looks like someone saying, "I've got this one."

Blood Cancer United

HR Quick Tip

The 5-Minute Check-In

Before the week gets away from you, ask someone on your team:

“What’s one thing I can do to help you be more successful this week?”

Then listen.

Five minutes can uncover a roadblock, open a conversation or give someone exactly what they need to move forward.

Great leadership doesn’t always require a big initiative.

Sometimes it starts with one good question.

PURPOSE IN ACTION Blood Cancer United

This year, I joined the Executive Leadership Team of Blood Cancer United in memory of my amazing dad, who courageously battled multiple myeloma for 15 years.

Earlier this year, I had the privilege of supporting an incredible group of Visionaries who collectively raised more than $240,000.

The dollars matter. But so do the people behind them - the patients, families, caregivers, volunteers and communities who remind us what we're fighting for.

Want to make an impact?

I'd love to connect.

Leadership Lens | Opportunity Grows When We Share It

Twenty years of ELM Strategies has taught me that leadership isn't only about what we accomplish ourselves. It's also about what becomes possible for others because we showed up.

Who did you encourage?

Whose potential did you notice?

Who did you connect, mentor, teach, or simply believe in?

Success is meaningful. Shared success leaves a legacy.

With Gratitude,
