Hello lovely ladies,

We had an incredible adventure. We saw so much along the way and lots unexpected delights!! Below are some pictures from our East Coast trip and family reunion. Hope you enjoy!

Our East Coast road trip was amazing! 2000 miles in 8 days! Beginning in Charleston, South Carolina, we took a tour of the city of Charleston, saw Fort Sumpter and went to the Citadel Military school. Architecture down there is beautiful, and it was brutally hot! Next we headed to Greenville, South Carolina, to visit Sandy and Larry, Aloette friends of ours that we haven't seen in twelve years.

Next stop was at John's sister's family, where we got to see the baby,Eliza, Jacob, his new wife, Hannah, and Julia, Sarah's daughter in Sarah's new home. In Rocky Mount, Virginia.

On to Montross, Virginia, to visit my sister Kathy and her husband John. They live on a tributary of the Potomac, so we had blue crabs taken right off of their dock for dinner and fresh corn. Yum! Goldie showed us how to open the crabs to eat!! Kathy is my quilting sister so got to see all of her quilts she has made and working on!

On to Cape May, New Jersey, which one of you lovely ladies told me to go to! What a cool place. I wish we could stay longer there. Definitely got to go back to that one. Thank you for the good tip, please let me know who told me to go!! The bed and breakfasts in town were beautiful! Food was great too lobster roll and lobster bisque, yum!

Our next stop was to Staten Island Ferry and then Coney Island with Rudy and Brooke, where they did all their rides, and then we got a chance to do the boardwalk. This is a place I've wanted to go to for years. We've seen it in movies and read about it in books. Very cool. Definitely a great stop. Nathan's Hot Dogs is the original hot dog stand. Had to have that too. Yum!

Hector, Maggie, and Sally flew into Buffalo, and they got a chance to go up to Niagara Falls. Hector, unfortunately, had to fly to Miami as his mom was in the hospital. We went back and picked up Maggie and Sully in Buffalo, and then went on to the Adirondack Hotel, which was built in 1850, a very cool place.

Rudy and Brooke, after we left, went and toured the Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island. They did New York in five days and went all over the place. They visited 9/11 museum, One World Center on the 102nd floor and They saw a Broadway play Moulin Rouge, they rented E-Bikes and went through Central Park. They had New York pizza and bagels. They did it all.

Next stop, Adirondacks Hotel that was beautiful and so old! Food was great too - we toasted our beverages and Sully's to a successful family reunion that was starting the next day!

Our reunion started with everybody down by the lake, and of course we had to have the family pictures done with the t-shirts. On the tree behind us is the photos of the family tree - our whole family!!

We played flip cup, tic tac toe, and a massive treasure hunt for the kids, then the rest of our family meeting Sully. This is Kerry holding him, and then I've got Keegan, Rudy, and Brooke holding, and Heidi.

My partner in crime in planning the reunion is Colleen, my cousin - she is explaining to the kids their mission in the treasure hunt!! They were gone for an hour and half!! their finds were awesome!

And of course our epic water balloon fight. The day we usually have it when everyone was there was thunderstorms, so we held it the next day when alot of the family had left- but still - we nailed it or it nailed us - got really wet!!!

Just chilling with my 95 year old Aunt Merion, my sister and her daughter Jen between games and meals!

Saturday night was karaoke night, most everyone participated and we all had fun!

This is my fairy goddaughter Ashley and her fiancé Zach. Cute couple, huh?

New game this day - granny pants - hilarious!!!!! My cousin Zack and my sister Shelley!

Pray for the people in Spokane who have lost their homes and/or businesses. My oldest daughter Kerry's best friend from college lost their home and everything in it. They were in Lake Tahoe on vacation with their family, so the family is safe, but their entire home is gone.
