To our LifeNets Supporters and Friends!

It is a special joy for me to share the story of two wonderful Women’s Enrichment gatherings held in Zambia in July 2026. Through the generosity of women attending three Women’s Enrichment weekends in the United States and Canada, LifeNets provided funding that brought 124 Zambian women together for spiritual encouragement, fellowship, learning, and practical skill development.

The theme for both gatherings was especially meaningful: “Love and Unity,” based on Psalm 133:1: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”

The larger gathering was held at Verino, Lusaka, July 2–7, where 77 women met from fourteen congregations across Zambia, some traveling considerable distances.

Each day began with physical exercise and “Morning Glory” devotions. Presentations focused on Christian love and unity, spiritual growth, practical Christian living, and the important role women play in their families, congregations, and communities. Delphine Banda was among those who addressed the women.

Pastor Luke Banda encouraged the ladies to recognize their God-given abilities and develop practical skills that could benefit their families and communities. The Sabbath included Bible study and encouragement for older women to mentor and support younger women.

Hands-on instruction in making earrings, bracelets, and headbands added an enjoyable and practical dimension. These were not simply crafts, but skills the women could take home and potentially use to supplement their family income.

At the same time, a second gathering was held in Isoka, bringing together 47 women from Isoka, Kalukanya, and Pulwila, with Mrs. Gift Sinyenga serving as the principal host.

Here, too, "Love and Unity" was at the heart of the program. Biblical instruction was combined with practical sessions on homekeeping, food preparation, family relationships, and handicrafts. Women shared their abilities with one another and learned skills that could help strengthen their families.

One detail from Isoka particularly touched me. Fifteen of the 47 women could not afford to contribute financially toward their participation. Yet they were faithful women who regularly attend Sabbath services. LifeNets assistance made it possible for them to participate alongside everyone else.

What makes these gatherings especially meaningful is the connection between women separated by thousands of miles. The funds came from three Women’s Enrichment weekends in the United States and Canada. Women gathering in fellowship here made it possible for their sisters in Zambia to experience that same fellowship and encouragement.

That is LifeNets at its best—people helping people, and lives touching lives across continents.

To all the women who contributed, thank you. Your generosity provided much more than meals, transportation, materials, and places to meet. You gave 124 women an opportunity to worship, learn, laugh, develop friendships, strengthen their families, and return home encouraged.

Thank you for your prayers, support, and trust. Thank you for making LifeNets your charity of choice. Only a few stories are featured in this newsletter--please go to our website http://lifenets.org for more stories from the past quarter. Together, we continue to make a difference.

Update on Brazil Cattle Project by Jorge de Campos

Here is a report on the cattle in Maloca de Mascow and the great outcomes that have resulted from this program that LifeNets started 11 years ago in Northern Brazil.

Link to original Brazil cattle project

Over the past nine years, the cattle have generally been doing well. However, a few years ago, the area experienced a rattlesnake outbreak. The snakes were coming in from the river and spreading throughout the surrounding area, resulting in the death of several cattle, which was rather unsettling to the cattle and, as a result, impacted the production of manure.

To protect the herd, the brethren built a new area farther away from the river where the cattle could be safely relocated. They built a very nice facility, and several brethren worked hard to remove the rattlesnakes from the area. Since being relocated, the cattle have been much more peaceful and secure in their new surroundings.

Below is Jorge de Campos with the children of Maloca de Mascow.

The new area has also provided an unexpected blessing. Because the cattle have a safe and comfortable place to remain, they have produced a considerable amount of manure, which has been used to enrich the soil and support the plantations. As a result of the good quality soil over the past year or two, the brethren have been reaping abundant crops and selling the produce. This has been successful, in part because of the healthy, nutrient-rich manure from the cattle that has been added to the soil. The proceeds from these sales have helped provide the brethren with the means to attend the Feast in Southern Brazil. They have been able to do this for the past two years, including last year and again this coming year.

May this be an encouragement to everyone. The brethren are very grateful for the generous donations and the blessings God has provided through the cattle and the work they have been able to accomplish. The herd has now grown to 33 head of cattle.

The video below features one of the heads of cattle named Bella, who is part of the herd thanks to a donation from a young lady named Abi. The video shows Bella, her daughter, and her calf, and highlights the continued growth and blessings of the herd.

Featured Scholarship Story from Kenya

Dear LifeNets team,

I am Otieno Eddy Ochieng from Kenya. I want to express my deepest gratitude for sponsoring my education and enabling me to complete my Diploma in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Your financial support came at a time when finishing my studies felt uncertain. Because of you, I didn’t have to choose between fees and focus. I was able to attend classes, complete my projects, and graduate.

Today I am proud to say I am a graduate, and that milestone would not have been possible without LifeNets. Thank you for believing in me and investing in my future.

I am committed to using the skills I’ve gained to build a career in ICT and to give back to the community, just as you gave to me.

With sincere appreciation,

Otieno Eddy Ochieng

PS: ABC Scholarships

This year again LifeNets is helping with Ambassador Bible College scholarships by providing three $5000 grants for male students that have already begun classes in the 2026-2027 academic year.

German Compassion for Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine

LifeNets' aid continues to flow from southern Germany to Ukraine. The German mayor (Bürgermeister) of Rielasingen-Worblingen, Germany, has shown genuine compassion for the Ukrainian people. His community has provided shelter for Ukrainian refugees, and he has also generously made warehouse space available to LifeNets free of charge to store and prepare humanitarian aid shipments.

Thank you all for your support in transporting these shipments by truck from Germany to Ukraine.

Here's our latest report from Vlad Yurishko in Singen, Germany.

2027 LifeNets Calendar Coming

We will mail our annual calendar in early October. We are thankful again to Hopkins Printing for offering this wonderful service for the past 17 years to show some of the LifeNets projects in progress. We are also thankful to Scott Moss, who has faithfully and diligently assembled this publication all these years. Be looking for this.

Qualified Charitable Contributions

LifeNets reminds IRA owners age 70½ and older that for 2025 they can individually make up to $108,000 in tax-free charitable donations from their IRA using a technique called Qualified Charitable Distributions, commonly called QCDs.  IRA owners can contact their IRA provider to make a QCD by year-end.

With a QCD, the distribution does not get treated as income to you and if you're age 73 or older and need to take RMDs, your QCD counts toward your annual IRS requirement.

QCDs should be reported on your tax return. IRA providers will issue Form 1099-R, Distributions from Pensions, Annuities, Retirement or Profit-Sharing Plans, IRAs, Insurance Contracts, etc., in early 2026 documenting IRA distributions.

Per IRS rules, QCD donors will receive from LifeNets a written acknowledgement showing the contribution date, amount and confirmation that no goods or services were received.
