Fall Clean Sweep events brought neighbors together across Broomfield to safely recycle electronics, dispose of hazardous household items and destroy sensitive documents.
During the Fall Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste Drop-Off Event on Oct. 3, 735 participants passed through the drop-off line. Dedicated staff across Public Works, Streets, Public Safety and support teams kept cars moving smoothly while morning visitors caught views of hot air balloons flying overhead. Earlier in the season on Sept. 26, the annual Fall Shred-It Event welcomed 476 residents to its new location at the Broomfield Municipal Shops. The relocated site managed traffic flow effortlessly while crews safely processed and shredded 15,984 pounds of paper.
Together, these community efforts protect local waterways, keep harmful waste out of landfills and support regional recycling goals. Find year-round recycling guidelines at Broomfield.org/Recycling.
