Prayer List

During these days filled with much uncertainty, fear, and frustration, may these words from Philippians 4:6-7 guide us:

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

This week we pray for:

Ralph Ealy, friend of the Slaters
Dear friend of Caryl and Stan Slater, Ralph Ealy, passed away two weeks ago. Prayers for his wife and children, as well as for the Slaters as they mourn his loss.

Otis Whitmore Senior
Prayers of comfort for Otis Whitmore Senior, who is gravely ill. He is the father of our member, Otis Whitmore. Prayers of strength for Mr. Whitmore's family in their love and care for him.

Becca, Candy Relle's Friend's Daughter-in-law
Becca had surgery last week and had all cancerous growth from her colon removed. She learned that the cancer has not spread to her liver. Continued prayers as she begins her treatment.

Michael Bretz
Michael is back from Arizona. Prayers for him as he discerns a new direction for his journey.

Beth Coetzee
Continued prayers of comfort and strength for Beth Coetzee and Dries, as Beth moves into her final week of chemo and radiation treatments for her tongue cancer. Our love surrounds you both as you continue this journey.

Cards may be sent to Beth Coetzee, 1820 W. Mulberry, San Antonio, TX 78201.

Continued prayers for all of those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Those who lost loved ones; those among us who cannot visit loved ones in nursing homes or hospitals; those who lost jobs; those whose livelihoods and safety is endangered, especially our neighbors experiencing homelessness here in Wooster.

Prayer Request and Privacy Laws

Please note, that because of government privacy laws, hospitals and care centers no longer are allowed to notify churches that a person has been admitted (even if the person lists their home church at admission). The only way that the church staff will know if someone is hospitalized is if a family member or friend lets us know. We'd rather get 20 calls about the same person than none! Thanks for your help in making Westminster a caring community. Contact the Westminster Office by phone 330-263-2398 or email to notify the church if you or someone you know is hospitalized or otherwise in need of our prayers!
