Greetings to all!

So much to share....

Our beloved Dr. Mimms is resting well. We are happy to announce that we have been able to get her major expenses covered and we are no longer accepting monthly donations for sustained care. She is in a private adult care home and has been upgraded to hospice care to ensure she is kept comfortable. Thank you to those that assisted in her sustained care. Your prayers and thoughts are also appreciated. If you would like to send her a card, please send in care of Dawn Mason. She visits frequently and will share your inspirational words with Dr. Mimms.

In honor of Dr. Mimms, we are creating a Journey Book which will be produced and distributed in November at 3 community events. This book is similar to what we created for Dr. Mimms for her 80th & 90th birthdays except they will be available to the community. To participate in the book, you can

1. Advertise your business or
2. Create a love note to Dr. Mimms in ad size.

The book deadline is October 15th so time is of the essence. I am excited to be able to read the love notes and community happenings with her once the book is completed. All the links are below.

Onward....

Be A Part of the Journey

St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, Factoria, invites the greater community for an ecumenical service on Sunday, October 6, 10:00 am. The full Eucharist includes the lively music of MISSA GAIA (EARTH MASS), composed by Grammy-Award winning artist Paul Winter and others. It features Afro-Cuban drums, jazz harmonies, gospel styles, and traditional choral singing.

VCBynum Arts is excited to bring a lively and uplifting presentation of dance to the EARTH MASS. The EARTH MASS has been celebrated since 1981, and we are happy to be a part of this continuing tradition. Dancers include Vania C Bynum, Kearia Duncan, Ayanna Omar, Diana Davidyan, Betsey Beckman, and more.

PETS ARE WELCOME to join the service and receive a blessing from the clergy of St. Margaret’s. Please use appropriate leashes and restraints as needed. (No snakes or spiders please).
