In a country where girls are barred from education beyond sixth grade, Afghan women and girls in Peace Tracks are raising their voices through music.

Join us on the International Day of the Girl to experience their original songs and music videos, sharing their stories, hopes, and visions for the future.

THEIR JOURNEY

Over 14 weeks, Afghan girls and women collaborated online to write lyrics, produce original music, and create music videos exploring their lives, hopes, and the future they want to build.

Every teaching artist and local team member in this program is a woman. To protect their safety, the girls are no identified by name or shown on camera. Some of the women have chosen to share their names and faces, and we are honored to celebrate them alongside the girls. The songs you will hear on October 16th belong to all of them.
