From the Pastor

This Sunday we will celebrate the second Sunday of Advent. On this Sunday we meet Jesus' cousin, John the Baptist -- who is in the wilderness of Judea calling for repentance. While his message can be somewhat abrupt and disturbing, he is inviting us to prepare our hearts for God. This Sunday is a gift for us in that it invites us to take time to reflect on the ways we need to turn our lives and common life around to live more in alignment with God's love, peace, justice, mercy, and grace. I share this prayer with you as a way to contemplate where you might feel most called to repent, turn around, and live from the mind and heart of Christ this Advent season:

The Christmas Fund is one of four annual UCC special mission offerings. At Zwingli, we will receive donations through the end of December. Checks should be made out to Zwingli, with “Christmas Fund” in the note section.
