Dear Families,

I have been blessed by two wonderful weeks with our children and youth, beginning with Montreat, and continuing through this week's VBS. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make these amazing summer events possible.

I would like to dedicate this newsletter to telling the story of these two events through pictures.

Before we begin, don't forget:

  • Worship is at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary for the month of June.
  • Please wear your VBS t-shirt this Sunday, June 21! We'll also have a slideshow of VBS pictures!

Word or Phrase of the Week: The Well

This Sunday, we are diving into Genesis 21 to see how big feelings like fear or worry can give us "tunnel vision," making it hard to see the good things right in front of us. Just like Hagar in the desert, we will discover how God hears our cries and opens our eyes to the "hidden wells" of comfort, help, and peace He has already provided.

Table Talk Question: What is a "big emotion" that sometimes gives you tunnel vision, and what is one "hidden well" of help God has placed in your life to help you through it?

We look forward to seeing you Sunday!

Blessings,

Eric

What a wonderful week of Vacation Bible School! More than 50 children joined us for a week of faith, fun, music, crafts, games, and fellowship as they learned about God’s love.

We are grateful to the volunteers, youth and staff who made this ministry possible. New friendships were formed, faith was nurtured, and children experienced the joy of Christian community.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for and supported VBS, and for each of the children who participated. We celebrate the seeds of faith planted this week and look forward to seeing them continue to grow.

Enjoy the collages below!

Six of our youth and five chaperones had a wonderful week at the Montreat Youth Conference! We worshiped, played, prayed, served, climbed a mountain, ate, and explored faith together, centered on the theme of Wonder and Wander.

What a blessing it was to spend the week with these amazing young people, and hundreds of others from around the country. A special thanks to Susan DeWyngaert, Mariah Martin, Tim Walsh, and the amazing Victor Gaerrus who made every meal incredible.
