Important Updates

Quick FYIs

  • Holiday Lights and decor should be removed by now. Prevent a compliance notice by taking care of things this weekend.
  • Right of way easements - if you have permanently sealed an area that once held river rocks, please remove this unapproved modification ASAP. This is against the City of Hutto's Right of Way Code. Notices will be sent soon through the HOA. However, the city can also send you fines.
  • Drinking fountains have been disabled until the freeze season has ended.
  • Did you know? Non-domestic pets are not permitted in Emory Crossing. You can have a total of 3 domestic household pets. This means, no poultry. Why not? Diseases, noises, smells, and attracting unwanted predators are the top four.
  • Permanent flower bed structures - If you have built a permanent flower bed structure on your fence line, please have this relocated. There is a build-line easement required by the City and county. Nothing permanent can go here. Exterior modifications need to go through Architectural approval.
  • Friday, January 31st is National Hot Chocolate Day! Come to the Association office between 8-4pm to enjoy a cup! Need something stronger? There's coffee, too. The office will start the pavilion fireplace while you are here.
  • The Assessment page has been updated to be easier to read.
  • Wildlife information has been added to the website. Please note, the Association cannot help with wildlife. With the location of Emory Crossing, please expect to always have bobcats, coyotes, snakes, birds of prey and more around. The informational page will provide ways to coexist with the animals.

Winter Weather Tips

  • Freezing Weather: Winter has arrived. Please be mindful of hard freezes and your pipes. Freezes typically happen in January and February. Cover your outside hose bib(s), drip your faucets, open cabinet doors, set your heat to no lower than 55 degrees. Dishwashers on exterior walls should not be used during or immediately after periods of extreme cold. And of course, remember the other 2 Ps (pets and plants).
  • HVAC inspections: It is always a good idea to have your HVAC systems checked yearly. When you first turn your heater on for the season, there is often a foul smell. This is usually debris/dust that has settled on the heating elements. That is why it is important to have an inspection completed.
  • Chimney Inspections: Soot can build up if you are using real wood. Please have your chimney inspected and cleaned before you light your first fire.
  • Condos: E-8 In your Community Manual states from November 1st through March 25th, units may not be left unheated. Water lines on exterior walls should be allowed to drip during freezing weather.

Compliance drives are every other week. Trash cans in view and excessive weeds are the main concerns, however there has been a huge turn around recently, so not as many notices are being sent.

Trail Walks and Amenity reviews are every week as weather permits. You are welcome to join me! Send a text, call, or email and we will setup a walk.

Please report issues with the dog stations (include the number) so the vendor can be contacted asap.

Report Construction violations to the office. This includes working outside of hours, overflowing dumpsters, builder trash outside of the active lot, and parking in undesignated areas.

Parking: Commercial Vehicles, Industrial (Work) Vehicles, RV, Trailers, Boats are not permitted inside Emory Crossing at any time unless parked within your closed garage.

The Amenity Center is a private parking lot with use being allowed while you are actively using the amenities. No overnight or day parking is allowed.

Do not park in Alleyways at any time. Please report construction crews parking in alleyways so the office can contact the builder ASAP.
