DISCOVER ARCHITECTURE!
Do you know students age 15-18 who may have an interest in design? Our annual summer workshop for high school students will be virtual again this year, in June, and we need your help to recruit students! Students create compositions digitally (shown right) while learning about design principles. They also get to design and build a truss, and then load test it. Your firm can be a sponsor for this unique outreach and recruiting program, helping us to keep the participation fee ultra low at $50 per student. - email us to find out more info! architecture@okstate.edu

CEAT Awards for the School of Architecture!
This year at the annual CEAT Awards program, the School of Architecture cleaned house. Assistant Professor Jay Yowell received the CEAT Excellent Teacher Award, Academic Advisor Lori Carroll was noted as the CEAT Outstanding Advisor, and our wonderful Administrative Assistant Chelsea Wooldridge was awarded the CEAT Staff Superior Performance Award!

COFFEE FOR SoA STUDENTS!
Last year we began a program to allow firms to get their name and professional work in front of our students... by sponsoring COFFEE! The idea was to provide a weekly supply of K-Cups per student, for use at our Coffee Cart on the first floor. This program was wildly successful (who doesn't want free coffee?), and firm sponsorship was featured on our TV displays in the first floor hallway. Sponsors have included DLR Group, FSB, Cyntergy, Glenn Partners, GH2, and KKT - who also provided firm swag for our students. Our students thank you!

SCHOLARSHIP CAMPAIGN @ SoA
No doubt you remember your college years as a time for ramen noodles and shared textbooks. It is no different today, except that OSU costs a lot more to attend. This is due to the shrinking resources provided to OSU by the state - just 11% of the cost of an education is covered by state taxpayers, for in-state students. In the 1980's the inverse was true - students only paid 11% of the actual cost of their education. So now, more than ever, scholarships are key. If you are able, perhaps you will consider supporting a student via the Architecture Scholarship Fund? Thank you!
Gifts can be made through the OSUF site at the button below, or as paper checks mailed to the School of Architecture, made out to "OSU Foundation, Architecture" with "Scholarship Fund" in the memo line. Thank you!

CEAT Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Awards!
This spring at the CEAT DEI Awards several students and two faculty received recognition for their outstanding efforts to raise awareness and address issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
