We were proud to co-host with Nipomo Rotary our Forum on Human Trafficking Awareness on Sept. 20th at the Ventana Grill in Pismo Beach. About 140 guest attended this great informational
event. Speakers included representatives from the SLO County district Attorney's Office, the SLO County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, as well as testimony from a survivor. This forum was designed to bring attention and awareness of the human trafficking problem on the Central Coast
Jay Conner was our Emcee and did a fantastic job. Jay worked with Compass Health and owners of Ventana Grill who donated the venue and food and our heartfelt gratitude goes to them.
Also, a special thanks goes to the planning committee: Jay Conner, John DeRohan, and George Dubois and Walter Con from Nipomo Rotary. We also appreciate District Attorney Dan Dow and his staff for presenting a great program.
