|
Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation — and who continue to serve our communities each and every day. Here in Paulding County, we’re proud to have so many veterans who not only answered the call to serve but also returned home to lead, volunteer, and uplift others.
We also want to thank the local businesses who are giving back today with special offers for veterans — a small but heartfelt way of saying, “We see you, and we thank you.”
Local Veterans Day Specials Include:
- Fuel Good Energy – Free drinks for all veterans today!
- Paulding Pancake House – Free meal for veterans and active-duty military. Dine-in only.
- Fiesta Habaneros – 20% off your meal for veterans.
- KP Boot Company – 10% off all boots, today only!
- Chief Super Market – 11% off for current members and veterans of the armed forces.
- Seamless Roofing & Exteriors – Offering exclusive veteran savings every day as their way of saying thank you.
We encourage everyone to support these local businesses, share the gratitude, and take a moment to thank a veteran today.
If your business is also offering a special for Veterans Day, please let us know — we’d love to help share it on Facebook!
From all of us at the Paulding Area Chamber of Commerce — thank you, veterans, for your service, your leadership, and your continued dedication to our community.

| | FEATURED BUSINESSES OF THE WEEK | | Community Health Professionals Home Care & Hospice | | |
This week, the Chamber is proud to recognize Community Health Professionals Home Care & Hospice (CHP) — a compassionate, community-based organization providing home health and hospice services across Northwest and West Central Ohio for more than 50 years.
Rooted in local communities and guided by a board representing our region, CHP’s mission is “to provide comprehensive home health and hospice services to the people of Northwest and West Central Ohio.” Their staff aren’t just caregivers — they’re friends, neighbors, and familiar faces who believe in giving back and supporting those in need.
CHP’s impact reaches far beyond healthcare. In 2024 alone, their teams provided over 50,000 in-home visits and logged nearly 4,000 volunteer hours, helping local families receive care and comfort close to home. With more than half of their operating budget devoted to local wages, CHP also plays a vital role in sustaining healthcare jobs across our communities.
Each office is deeply rooted in the community it serves, including the Paulding County location at 250 Dooley Drive, Suite A. CHP’s commitment to compassion, dignity, and neighborly care continues to make a difference for families across the region.

Paulding FFA Receives National Recognition at 98th Annual Convention
The Paulding FFA Chapter proudly represented our community at the 98th Annual National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, held October 29 – November 1. Twelve student members and two advisors joined thousands of FFA students from across the nation for a week packed with leadership development, agricultural education, and hands-on experiences.
During the convention, Paulding FFA was honored with the prestigious 3-Star National Chapter Award—the highest chapter rating given nationally. Only 29 chapters in Ohio earned this recognition, marking Paulding’s fifth consecutive year of national distinction. Chapter officers Tori Schlatter and Myrriah Manz accepted the award on stage during the second session of the convention.
In addition to convention sessions, students enjoyed educational tours and activities, including visits to Montrose Alpaca Ranch, Beck’s Hybrids, and Hunter’s Honey Bee Farm, plus team-building fun at Topgolf and the World’s Toughest Rodeo finals. Members also had the opportunity to hear keynote speaker A’Ric Jackson, who encouraged students to lead with confidence and overcome insecurities.
A highlight of the week was watching six Paulding FFA members earn their American FFA Degree, the organization’s highest individual honor: Jamy Hunt, Tytus Manz, Tyler Schlatter, Kobe Foor, Allyson Merriman, and Jocelynn Parrett.
The Paulding FFA extends its gratitude to Cooper Farms, the anonymous local farmer, and the Paulding FFA Alumni for their generous support, which made this educational and inspiring trip possible.

Food Drive
November 1-30, 2025
|
Help the Paulding County Health Department Fight Local Hunger
The Paulding County Health Department has heard far too many stories lately from families right here in our community who are struggling with food insecurity. In response, the department is organizing a county-wide food drive to support our local pantry and help ensure no neighbor goes without.
They’re asking the local business community—the backbone of Paulding County—to join in this effort.
Businesses can get involved in several ways:
- Host a Food Drive: Collect non-perishable food items from your employees. Flyers and materials can be provided.
- Make a Corporate Donation: Contribute financially or donate goods directly to the local pantry to help restock shelves.
- Spread the Word: Share information about the food drive with your customers, clients, and social networks.
By partnering with the Health Department, your business will be recognized as a Community Health Champion, supporting families across Paulding County.
If your business would like to participate or learn more, contact the Paulding County Health Department at pchd@pcohhd.com or call 419-399-3921.
