Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which modules will have the text read to students?

A: Only grades K-4 will have an audio option incorporated into the modules.

Q: Will the Teacher-Lead Modules need to be supplemented with other resources?

A: When used as instructed, this is a comprehensive and complete curriculum and needs no other supplementation.

Q: What is the portfolio rubric option?

A: The portfolio rubric option allows students to bypass the instructional portion of the Teacher-Led Modules. Students may submit either the module-provided assessment or a portfolio-style project which demonstrates proficiency according to the provided rubric.

Q: Do the sample modules show work for an entire week or a single day?

A: All of these samples are an entire week's worth of work.

Q: What do the "part" headers mean? How do I know how much work my student should do in a day?

A: Each "part" is intended to be a complete workload for one day in that specific subject.

Q: Will we be able to preview what the year entails for our students?

A: All rubrics and modules will be made available at the start of the school year.

Q: Where do I find the rubric for each module in order to plan our portfolio assignments?

A: Rubrics for the portfolio assignments are currently listed at the end of every module. We will also provide a stand-alone rubric list to families at the beginning of the school year to make them easier to navigate.
