Dear TA Prep Families,
Out of an abundance of caution and in light of an increase in Hand, Foot, and Mouth (HFM) cases and other airborne illnesses in Prince George’s County schools, TA Prep will be closed this Friday, October 31, for a deep cleaning and sanitization of our building.
This will be an asynchronous learning day, and teachers will post assignments and instructions for students to complete at home.
Please continue to follow the recommended Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFM) protocols to help prevent further spread:
- Keep your child home if they show any symptoms such as fever, sore throat, mouth sores, or rash on the hands, feet, or body.
- Children should not return to school until all blisters have dried and they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication.
- Encourage your child to wash hands frequently with soap and water, especially after using the restroom and before eating.
- Remind students to avoid sharing food, drinks, and personal items.
- Disinfect commonly touched surfaces such as doorknobs, toys, and devices.
Our goal is to maintain a healthy learning environment for all students and staff. We appreciate your continued partnership and vigilance as we prioritize everyone’s well-being
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Principal McCray
