State Budget Update + UC Celebrates AAPI and Jewish Heritage Month
A political action committee supporting the University of California
Greetings,
Today's newsletter is focused on the May Budget Revision and shares some of the research and events honoring AAPI and Jewish heritage across our UCs.
Thank you! May Budget Revision Decreases UC Budget Cut from 8% to 3%.
Friends of the UC wants to say thank you for advocating for all 10 UC campuses in the state budget. The proposal represents a $276M restoration of funds to the UC system, the economic powerhouse of our state and nation.
We understand that tough choices have to be made. We also recognize that the threats to UC research and student financial aid are ever present from the Federal government. We look forward to exploring additional opportunities to support UC students, housing, and infrastructure needs in the coming weeks and months.
Additionally, you can read UC President Drake's response to the May Budget Revision here.
