Landscape embroidery

We love this expressive landscape embroidery by Paula at the VISIONS program.

Weaving between the Lines.

Some of our artists have been exploring weaving over fabric - inspired by our recent Weave & Wine night activity

Debra has been busy weaving away this black and white striped yardage - we are looking forward to seeing what she will make with it!

Pom Pom fun!

This month has been the month of the pom pom - with so many of our artists eager to experiment with this fun and tactile fiber art form!

Neighhh!

Myrna from VISIONS knocks it out the park again with this super cute and free-standing woven horse - complete with a fluffy black mane.

💜 Big thumbs up to all the artists we work with for the continued enthusiasm and joy they bring to all of our daily programming. 💜

Summertime is currently enrolling for their fall session of Art Walks + Talks, Summertime’s electrifying program for artists, art lovers, and adventurers.

Every week for 10 weeks this fall, participants will visit a new creative hotspot, drawing from a wide range of museums, galleries, artist studios, as well as other iconic and unorthodox artistic destinations. At each place - soak up the inspiration, learn all there is to know, and get creative based on what we see. Sketchbooks are provided and snacks frequently will be procured!

Every week artists and a Summertime mentor will meet up at a different location. Artists will be responsible for travelling to and from each destination independently – i.e. figuring out the train route, scheduling an Access-a-Ride, etc.

This epic offering is open to all adults 18+ with and without disabilities. The program is designed for people who are curious, warm, and excited to explore. Artists and aspiring artists of all levels are welcome. The session runs September 16 - November 18, 2026 from 3-6 pm. The mentor guiding the way will be Miriam Abrahams, a Summertime artist mentor and noted New York pigeon artist.

Enrollment is $150 per session, for 10 weeks. We ask that participants commit to all 10 sessions upon enrollment. (We understand that things come up, but please try to commit as best you can!) We accept Medicaid Self Direction or Private Pay.
