Sunday, October 18th

What can the birds, the trees, and even the smallest creatures teach us about God and our place in creation? This Sunday, we'll reflect on the wisdom of the natural world and what it means to live with gratitude, care, and a sense of connection to all living things. We'll explore how our faith invites us not simply to admire the beauty of creation, but to help it flourish.

Join us for worship at 9 a.m. online or 10 a.m. in person. This Sunday also marks a special celebration of Norval's Pollinator Garden, with an Open House following our in-person service. It's a wonderful opportunity to see how care for creation is taking root right here in our own community!

We hope you'll join us!

Join us Online for Worship @ 9:00AM

or

for In-Person for Worship @ 10:00AM

You can find the online service on Facebook Live or on our YouTube channel.

The service will be saved at both locations for viewing through the week.

Celebrating Charlie Bolton: 2026 Baillie Volunteer Service Award

Thanksgiving Sunday was an extra special day at NUC as we celebrated Charlie Bolton, one of this year’s recipients of the Baillie Volunteer Service Award from the Toronto United Church Council! Established in 2014, this award recognizes United Church youth and young adults for their commitment to volunteer service in their church communities.

Thank you to Brian Heinmiller from TUCC for joining us to present the award, and to Rev. Heather for nominating Charlie for this well-deserved recognition.

A very special thank you to Charlie for the many ways they share their leadership, creativity, compassion, and gifts with our Norval community. We are so grateful for all that you bring to our church family! Congratulations, Charlie!

Last call for our bakers! If you have time this week, we would love your help baking something for our Pollinators Garden Open House this Sunday! We are not sure how many guests to expect, but any contribution would be greatly appreciated.

November 8th will be a Youth and Children lead Service for Remembrance Day

All children and youth welcome to participate.

Please talk to me or email me here if you are able to contribute some baked goods or wish to participate in our Remembrance Day service.

We are so grateful for all you do!

Do You Love to Sing? We Could Use Your Help!

Once a month, Tina Talving shares her musical gifts at a short worship service and hymn sing with residents at Extendicare. She plays the piano, and we are looking for someone who enjoys singing to help lead the hymns.

If you enjoy singing, this is a great way to share your gifts and bring joy to the residents of Extendicare! The service takes place at 2 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month.

This is a simple but meaningful way for Norval to connect with and care for our wider community.

If you would like to learn more, please email or call the church office, and we will connect you with Tina.

Thank you for being part of this special ministry!
