We are thrilled to announce that Ginger Sunbird Martin will be a presenter at this year’s Native American Women’s Conference!


Ginger Sunbird Martin is Pima from the Gila River Indian Community. She is a graduate from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s in American Indian Studies. She and her life partner have five children, her nephews that she has adopted or is fostering.


She began her career as a trainer in the Hospitality industry and later in the Healthcare field. She started her company in 2011, Sunbird Enterprises, when a colleague suggested she take her passion and ability to create sustainable results to a broader base. She also opened her Behavioral Health company, Point of Choice, September 22, 2021.

Dr. Julianna Reece, MD, MBA, MPH, is a Board-Certified, Family Medicine physician with over 20 years of experience in Public Health and direct Primary Care, the majority focused on American Indian/Alaska Native healthcare.


She is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and currently serves as the Director of Healthy Tribes for the CDC, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Division of Population Health.

Gila River Indian Community


Lana has a BA in Psychology and an MA in Student Personnel. She has 35 years of experience in the field of workforce, training and development and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Nineteen Tribal Nations Workforce Development Board (NTNWDB) and is the Chair of the Arizona Tribal WIOA Directors.


At Gila River Indian Community, she oversees, Federal and State youth and adult WIOA Grants, a Career Pathways Grant, the Native Employment Works Grant (NEW) for Natives receiving TANF, an AmeriCorps Grant titled "Veterans serving Veterans", and the Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO).
