2027 MSP & Annual Meeting

Welcome Andrew and Meagan!

Andrew Shook and Meagan Schmidt were welcomed into membership at Grace Lutheran Church on October 4, 2026. Andrew and Meagan met while attending Winthrop University and have been married since 2024. While they now call Rock Hill home, Andrew is originally from Northampton, Massachusetts and Meagan is from Long Island, NY. They purchased their first home in 2025, located near the York County airport, and welcomed their first child in July of this year.  Andrew, an Army veteran, is currently a software engineer, while Meagan, a former preschool teacher, is a stay-at-home mom to their son, Oliver. In their free time, Andrew enjoys cooking and writing, while Meagan likes to craft and be outdoors.  They also enjoy traveling, reading, and kayaking on the Catawba River together.  They are so excited to  grow in their faith and be a part of the Grace Lutheran Church family.

Come and enjoy Octoberfest with Seniors @Grace on October 22. We will have a variety of German foods to enjoy the event. Try bratwurst, scalloped German potatoes, sauerkraut and apples, pickled beets and German desserts.  We gather at 11:30 am with lunch at noon.  Lunch will be $6.00 per person.  Please RSVP to Annie Laurie Wheat at 803 517-0626 or wheatannielaurie@gmail.com.

A Prayer Request from Our Outreach Partner

Sharon Floyd, founder and executive director of Better Bound Book Store & Youth Development, one of Grace’s Outreach grant partners, asks for prayers for her husband, Robert, as he awaits a kidney transplant. His blood type is B+.

Please keep Robert and Sharon in your prayers—for a matching donor, a successful transplant, and strength and peace throughout this journey. Sharon shares, “Our faith remains strong,” and expresses gratitude for the congregation’s prayers and support.
