As we welcome the beautiful season of fall, we are excited for another month of learning, friendship, creativity, and fun at our Oceano Club! Our new enrichment session is off to a wonderful start, with something for everyone.
Our youth are exploring their creativity through art, discovering hands-on science and STEM, learning about the world of bugs and nature, and getting their hands dirty with outdoor exploration. Our older youth are also enjoying hands-on activities that encourage curiosity, discovery, and learning.
This session, we have introduced a special enrichment focused on kindness, responsibility, and leadership. Each member receives a unique stuffed dog or cat with a storybook sharing their animal’s background and needs. Over the next ten weeks, members will care for their new companions while developing responsibility, empathy, and leadership skills.
Origami is also part of this session, giving younger members an opportunity to strengthen fine motor skills, patience, and concentration, while offering older youth a fun and engaging creative challenge. Of course, our classic Sports Enrichment continues to be a favorite!
Whether creating, exploring, learning, or playing, our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where every member feels valued, supported, and connected to our Club community. At Oceano, we are especially focused on encouraging leadership, confidence, and self-love in our youth.
We are so grateful to our families for allowing us to be part of your members’ lives and look forward to a wonderful fall together!

Grover Heights is excited to begin a new session of enrichment activities this October! Our youth will be exploring new ideas, building skills, getting creative, and learning how their actions can make a difference in the world around them. This month, our enrichment activities will focus on kindness and caring for all living things. Youth will participate in hands-on activities that encourage compassion and responsibility as they learn how to care for their very own “pet.”
Our youth will also enjoy a Harvest Art enrichment activity where they can celebrate the season through creative, hands-on art projects. As they explore their creativity, they will have opportunities to use their imagination and develop their artistic skills. Youth will also be learning about the mathematics of shapes through origami, exploring patterns, geometry, and problem solving while creating their own folded designs.
Our younger youth will be learning all about bugs and slugs as they discover the fascinating world of these small but important creatures. Our 3rd and 4th graders will be digging into the world of dirt and learning about soil, what it is made of, and why it is so important to the living world around us. Our older youth will be learning about building structures while exploring the idea of “Building a Better World.” Through these activities, they will have opportunities to use creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
We look forward to another exciting month filled with learning, creativity, discovery, and growth with our youth. Thank you for your continued support of our after-school program and for helping us provide meaningful and engaging learning experiences for our youth.

It has been an exciting and busy first six weeks of school at Shell Beach Club! We are so happy to be hitting our stride and building meaningful connections with our youth.
Our youth have been experimenting, exploring, adventuring, and discovering new things each day. As summer comes to a close, we are soaking up as much sunshine as we can! Obstacle courses and our Build Your Own Biomes activities have encouraged our youth to dive a little deeper, get creative, and discover new sides of themselves.
We have lots of fun events coming up this month, including our Club Kids Night Out here at Shell Beach on October 30! Our youth are excited to get into the spooky spirit and watch Casper with their friends. They are also looking forward to helping decorate the Club by creating their own floating paper-plate pumpkins and coffee-filter ghosts.
Shell Beach is ready for Fall Season!
