October 7

On Wednesday, October 7, we welcome back Austin Assay, a videographer who is helping us tell the story of First Covenant through video. Austin will be capturing footage as we gather for Wednesday Night Dinner, giving others a glimpse of the community, fellowship and joy that are part of life at FCC.

We know being in front of a camera can make some of us a little camera-shy, but it takes all of us to help share the full story of who we are as a church. We hope you’ll join us and help us capture the spirit of First Covenant! To see some of Austin Assay’s previous work, visit our new website at fccomaha.org.

Looking for a practical way to make a difference in our community? Join us at Heartland Hope, 2021 U Street, on Saturday, October 10th from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Heartland Hope's mission is to bring hope to our community. Not only does Heartland Hope provide groceries but they also provide employment resources, assistance with applying for SNAP and community referrals to help people rise above economic crises. Let's make a difference together!

October 10

You are invited to SoulCollage® on Saturday, October 10th from 9-noon in the Fellowship Hall. SoulCollage® is a wonderful way to listen to what your soul wants to say to you. It is a multi-leveled, creative process, with no need to be “artsy." By using images in a safe, contemplative space, we use our imagination and intuition to create personal collaged cards that help us connect more to self, others and Spirit.

Working in a quiet environment, we will honor each person's unique process and have a time for group sharing. It is a profound process…one for personal enjoyment and self-discovery. It is a relaxed and enjoyable process of prayer and meditation to listen to your soul.

All materials are provided for a small donation of $20. Please bring a pair of scissors and your own drink and snacks. If you have any questions or would like to register, reach out to Cathy Christiansen at Cathy.c@cox.net. Cathy Mann Christiansen is a trained SoulCollage® facilitator.
