Reviewer Dave Franklin of Dancing About Architecture highlighted the duo’s fearless creative approach, writing:

“What sets Inches From Sin apart from the pack is their refusal to play it safe.”

Franklin went on to praise how the duo transforms personal experience into sharp social commentary while blending sounds, styles, eras, and genres. He noted that although the messages and themes throughout "We Need Love" are timeless, “the music is very much of the here and now.”
