Happy October! This month, we celebrate Filipino American History Month to recognize the contributions of Filipino Americans. Filipinos first came to the continental United States on October 18, 1587, when they landed in Morro Bay. The Filipino American National Historical Society established the month in 1992. Their theme for 2024 is Struggle, Resistance, Solidarity, and Resilience. More information about this recognition can be found at this link: http://fanhs-national.org/filam/about/ | | | |
