🎉 Grand Opening of the Fairmont Gardens Community Center!

We celebrated the grand opening of the Fairmont Gardens Community Center, a milestone made possible through strong partnerships between county agencies, community organizations, and dedicated stakeholders. Thanks to a generous grant from Kaiser Permanente and the collaborative efforts of FACETS, this new center will provide valuable programs and resources to support families in our community.

This project is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together. By bringing together county agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community partners, we are expanding access to critical services, educational programs, and enrichment opportunities that will make a lasting impact on the lives of residents.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a role in making this center a reality and to those who joined us for the grand opening. Your support and commitment to our community continue to make Fairfax County a better place for all.

Honoring John C. Ulfelder for His Service to Fairfax County

I want to take a moment to recognize John C. Ulfelder for his years of dedicated service as the Dranesville Planning Commissioner. Having worked alongside John on the Fairfax County Planning Commission, I witnessed firsthand his deep commitment to smart growth, responsible development, and community engagement. His thoughtful approach to planning has made a lasting impact on Fairfax County, ensuring that development aligns with the needs of our residents.

At a recent Board of Supervisors meeting, Chairman Jeff McKay and Supervisor Jimmy Bierman brought forward a resolution to honor John’s contributions, a well-deserved recognition of his years of leadership. His work has helped shape the county for the better, and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him.

Thank you, John, for your dedication and service to Fairfax County!
