Get Your Application In & Choose Your Format!

There are just three weeks left to register for IHN’s September 2026 start. Before you enroll, take a moment to consider how you learn best. Do you want the connection, structure and accountability of LIVE classes, or the freedom of a Self-Paced program? Both deliver the same IHN education—just in ways designed for different learners and different lives.

Do REAL-TIME Classes Fit Your Needs?

If you enjoy real-time discussions, immediate feedback, and a sense of classroom connection, the LIVE Zoom format is an incredible way to stay engaged and inspired throughout your studies. With the real-time format, you benefit from a guided pace and the built-in accountability of a regular shared class timeline. Students can choose what days they attend for Part-Time or Full-Time study.

There’s a certain energy to LIVE classes. Being part of a learning journey alongside others creates momentum that’s hard to replicate. Each of IHN's learning formats serve a different learning style. Our LIVE option is ideal if you thrive within the engagement of a classroom community, want immediate responses from your instructor and appreciate a rhythm to your weeks, while our Self-Paced model offers flexibility for independent learners.

Is SELF-PACED The Right Option?

Our Self-Paced program offers the freedom to study when and where it works best for you. It's ideal for those with busy schedules, shifting priorities and in international time zones. If you need flexibility, the Self-Paced format allows you to learn on your own timeline without sacrificing content or quality. Independent learners can set their own pace and dive deeply into material when it best suits them.

The Self-Paced option gives you space to reflect, absorb, and revisit lessons as often as you like. It's perfect for those who learn best through self-direction. You’re in control with our Self-Paced program. Move quickly through familiar topics and take your time where you want to go deeper. Both formats uphold the same academic standards but our Self-Paced model simply empowers you to engage with the material in the way that works best for your lifestyle.

Are your clients overwhelmed by conflicting nutritional advice, from keto and fasting to plant-based diets, and increasingly discouraged by the results they are getting on their own? Are they considering using pharmaceutical options to jump-start their metabolism, while also worrying about the long-term effects?

The truth is, complex metabolic cases rarely come down to simply finding the right diet and sticking with it. Weight-loss resistance can involve overlapping endocrine, digestive, metabolic and mindset factors that require a more individualized clinical approach.

Join IHN faculty member Tahlia Sage for a one-hour introductory webinar on the Advanced Metabolic & Endocrine Framework, a continuing education program that gives holistic practitioners a root-cause approach to complex metabolic cases and helps clients make sustainable progress without compromising their health or nutrition.

You Will Learn:

• Why restrictive diets, extreme fasting, and quick pharmaceutical fixes often fall short

• The mindset and symptom barriers that keep clients from following through

• Assessing metabolic health through endocrine, digestive, and inflammatory lenses

• Why complex metabolic cases need more than a one-size-fits-all approach

• How the program helps you build personalized strategies for clients who feel stuck

Giveaway:

One LIVE attendee will receive a complimentary 60-minute 1:1 mentorship session with Tahlia. This is a focused, high-impact opportunity to receive personalized guidance whether you want clarity on your own health roadmap, support in navigating your career path, or expert insight on a complex client case.

NEW Advanced Con-Ed Course For Practitioners

After many years of looking for someone who could bring together two things together—a deep, critical understanding of genomics and a genuinely holistic, nutrition-first approach—we landed on IHN graduate Caroline Sabbah. In this Continuing Education course, she isn't simply teaching genetics to holistic nutritionists. She's teaching it from a perspective that makes sense for how holistic nutritionists develop protocols and see the whole picture of health.

Her webinar How Genomics Gives Practitioners An Edge In The Age Of AI was a lot to take in. She has spent many years honing her expertise in the subject. Her background in law seems to make her remarkably suited for the intensity of genetics and epigenetics!

Functional Genomics & Epigenetics in Clinical Practice gives Holistic Nutritionists a clear, safe and targeted framework for conversations with clients, so practitioners can work with genetic and epigenetic information confidently and within our scope.

Across nine three-hour sessions, the course takes practitioners from the foundations of genetics, genomics and epigenetics through to practical clinical application. The curriculum spans metabolic and weight regulation, nervous system and mitochondrial health, methylation and gut health, mental and cognitive health, cardiovascular function, exercise and bone health, and finally longevity. Caroline will even reconcile ancestral lifespan principles as found in the Blue Zones with modern genetic personalization.

In other words, this is not a narrow introduction to genetic testing—it is a comprehensive exploration of how genetics and epigenetics intersect with the major systems and health concerns practitioners encounter in practice.

With So Many Supplement Brands, How Do You Choose the Right One?

Built for practitioners and advanced students, this ConEd course gives you a working framework for that decision. You'll learn to compare and differentiate nutraceuticals, botanicals, and homeopathics, determine appropriate options across a range of health conditions, and apply dosing strategies for both maintenance and therapeutic care.

Now in his 16th year teaching the course at IHN, Baljinder Chhoker continues to refine the curriculum to reflect current research, evolving clinical practice, and time-honoured traditional medicines. He uses real-world case examples to bring clinical decision-making to life and to strengthen your ability to assess supplement quality and formulation differences.

Every student also receives a curated supplement kit to support hands-on learning and protocol development. Retail value exceeds the course fee (shipping not included).

Don't Miss The Course Because You Can't Attend LIVE!

Remember that you can register for any of IHN's LIVE Continuing Education courses, even if you can't attend the classes in real time. Every session is recorded, making it easy to participate despite work schedules, family commitments, or time zone differences.

While joining the instructor and your fellow practitioners in real-time offers the richest experience, the recordings are the next best thing. Each class recording is available by 12:00 PM Eastern the following day, allowing you to stay on pace with the course while learning when it works best for you.

Even when you watch the recordings, you are never learning alone. Unlike a self-paced program, you'll move through the course alongside a live cohort but on your own. You'll have the flexibility to watch the recordings on your own schedule while engaging with fellow registrants in a private virtual group, asking questions, and benefiting from the shared learning experience as the course progresses. You get the flexibility of watching on your own time with the momentum and support of a group learning together.

Lesson recordings remain available for three months after the course concludes, giving you plenty of time to revisit the material and integrate it into your professional practice.

IHN Continuing Education is open to graduates of all recognized holistic nutrition programs including Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Edison Institute, Alive Academy, Pacific Rim as well as allied natural health practitioners.

We Asked: What brought you to study Holistic Nutrition at IHN?

I was drawn to study Holistic Nutrition at IHN because I’ve always had a deep interest in health and nutrition. It was something instilled in me from a young age in my family, and I’ve always known the power behind nutrition. As I faced my own personal health journeys, they led me to explore holistic approaches, especially in hormone health, menstrual cycle awareness, and fertility.

Not everyone comes here to change careers. Some come to find answers and change lives.

When Samantha @stilleytherapy came to IHN, she wasn’t looking for a new career. She was looking for answers.

Years of eczema, food intolerances, and body image struggles led her to one realization: the body, the mind, and the food we eat were never separate conversations.

Today, Samantha is a psychotherapist – supporting clients with ADHD, emotional regulation, and mothers navigating overwhelm. That same mind-body lens shapes every session she leads.

Her story is a reminder: studying nutrition isn’t only about switching careers.

Sometimes it’s about understanding yourself. Finding answers. Supporting the people you love.

And sometimes, what you learn becomes the missing piece you carry into a completely different path. Because everything is connected 💚
