Last week, the TIDE Tribe gathered at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes for two days of sharp convos, meaningful connections, and the kind of energy that makes TIDE feel a little less like a conference and a little more like an industry Summer Camp. ⛺️

The event wasn't about collecting business cards...

It was about collecting the moments in our career that remind us why we chose this profession in the first place.

TIDE SPARK is not different because we have panels.

Every conference has panels.

What makes TIDE different is the room.

At TIDE SPARK, we bring together an unusually high-quality cross-section of the investment ecosystem - LPs, managers, founders, executives, board leaders, entrepreneurs, and next-generation talent - and we create an environment where people actually stay, engage, and connect.

The magic is not only who is on stage. It is who stays in the room after the panel ends. It is the allocator who makes an introduction over coffee. The speaker who does not disappear after their session. The conversation at the VIP Dinner that turns into a follow-up meeting. The Welcome Reception moment that becomes a new relationship. And, of course, karaoke...because legend has it, LPAs have been signed after a duet or two.

That is the TIDE Vibes.

But the room does not happen by accident. We curate with intention. We do not force speakers into generic topics and hope the conversation becomes interesting. We build around their expertise, their perspective, and what they are genuinely passionate about so the discussion feels less like a conference script and more like a real exchange between people who know what they are talking about.

The panel moderated by Pranjul Srivastava, featuring Andrew Junkin, Fernando Vinzons, Jon Babkow, and Tod Trabacco, was exactly that. The chemistry was electric because the curation was intentional. It was not a panel of people filling seats. It was a conversation among leaders with real perspective, real conviction, and real rapport.

For those who could not join us this year, that is what you missed: not just content, but proximity. Not just panels, but access. Not just networking, but a community that is generous with its relationships.

And this year, we added another layer to the TIDE experience: our Wellbeing Initiative. Because in a world where everyone has access to AI, data, dashboards, research, and more market commentary than any inbox should legally be allowed to hold, your real competitive advantage is still YOU.

Our Wellbeing Program, built around three pillars - Calm, Connection, and Curiosity - came to life through five wellness sessions, the Wellbeing Lounge, and standout moments like the Longevity & High-Performance panel. I hope you left with something new: one positive action to carry into your daily life, and the knowledge that you're part of a community of like-minded leaders.

One theme kept coming through at TIDE SPARK: our industry is stronger when different perspectives, experiences, and voices are in the room. That belief has been at the heart of TIDE since the beginning - from our earliest Zoom days, when we were all tiny squares trying to remember to unmute, to sold-out gatherings by the ocean filled with leaders across the investment ecosystem.
