Proof of Vaccination: Information for Businesses where PoV will be required
Chamber shares important details announced by the Province
To help businesses understand and implement the upcoming proof of vaccination (PoV) requirement set to begin on September 13, the Kelowna Chamber has put together a Tip Sheet to help you prepare for implementation next week. Click the link below to get that Tip Sheet that also contains valuable links and info.
The Province provided more details on their plans on Tuesday and unveiled the provincial link where digital Vaccine Cards can now be downloaded and where the Vaccine Verifier App can be downloaded (though not until next week as it appears more time is needed).
Some interesting news in the government announcement yesterday in that the province has advised that once fully in place (as of Oct. 24) capacity limits will be increased and other restrictions (orders) may come off. The order requiring vaccine cards is in place until January 31, 2022 and the province says that date may be extended.

Child Advocacy Centre & Boyd Autobody Celebrate Car Giveaway
For 20 years Boyd Autobody and Glass have hosted their annual Father’s Day Car Show. Despite the roadblocks and detours this year’s restrictions presented, Methal Abougoush and the team at Boyd Autobody remained committed to celebrating the car community and raising money for the Child Advocacy Centre. When every other alternative for continuing the car show tradition was met with stop signs, they changed lanes and threw all their horsepower behind the Car Raffle! The raffle generated $57,000 in fundraising that directly supports the CAC's work with vulnerable children. Congratulations to winner, Dale Wentworth, a former Kelowna Chamber Business Leader of the Year!
