The Great Minnesota Get-Together is a cherished tradition for all ages – attracting people from around the Midwest and beyond with seemingly endless varieties of food, drink, merchandise, free entertainment, grandstand concerts, interesting exhibits, unique experiences and cool things to explore.

This is the 20th year that we will be setting up our award-winning double booth in the lower level of the Grandstand Building, showcasing our diverse collection of fossils, minerals, crystals, agates, sculptures, jewelry and special new items waiting to be discovered.

If you like the exciting Minnesota State Fair atmosphere, enjoy helping people and love receiving discounts on amazing treasures from the earth, join us at our ZRS booth for this fun and unique opportunity to earn extra cash and pick up awesome new jewelry, stones and fabulous experiences!

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Honest, attentive and fun-loving individuals who enjoy helping people - can work well with others - feel comfortable around large groups - and are able to work at least three days during the fair with us (the more days the better). You would be scheduled for either morning or evening (six to eight-hour) shifts. It’s important to be physically able to stand on your feet for a few hours at a time when we are super-busy, which can happen fairly often. Some knowledge of fossils, crystals, and minerals are strong assets (not crucial) – but having a positive attitude and uplifting spirits are essential.

ZRS provides all volunteers with $16 compensation for every hour spent at our booth, special discounts on ZRS purchases, AND admission tickets for every partial day you work with us -- leaving you with the rest of the day to enjoy the fair!

We are also desperately in need of TWO strong people to help us load a truck/trailer (August 14th) in South Minneapolis -- and TWO strong people to unload heavier cases and set-up material into the booth on August 15th. Please let us know if you are able to lend some muscle and a good back towards this effort. If you enjoy setting up displays, we will also be looking for assistance from August 16th through the 20th, so let us know if you want to help out ... and earn some extra cash!
