Hello Business,

On this thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Times, we hear about the Resurrection and Eternal Life from Daniel, which gives us hope in the promise of eternal life with God. We are reminded that the way to eternal life is through Jesus. He forgives us and makes us holy by His sacrifices. We must remain hopeful and faithful in our waiting as we never know the day or time that we shall be guided to the joy of everlasting life with Him. We should not fear the triumphant end as His truth, love and justice will prevail forever.

Livestream the Mass on Sunday at 11:00am on our Facebook page.

Upcoming Events and Opportunities:

It is that time of year when we fill Thanksgiving Boxes to hand out to our community members who have requested help with their Thanksgiving meal.

We will be handing out boxes and shopping lists in the courtyard at all Masses on November 9th and 10th and November 16th and 17th. Bring your filled boxes to the Safeway truck that will be in the church parking lot before or after Masses the weekend of November 23rd and 24th.

Members of St. Vincent de Paul will deliver boxes to residents of West Linn on Sunday, November 24th and to St. Peter Catholic Church in SE Portland on Monday, November 25th.

We know there is a need for these food boxes, St. Vincent de Paul will have a limited number of boxes available for parishioners to distribute to someone they know that is in need of some help with their Thanksgiving meal. Contact Vicki Sarazin at 971-235-1441 or vicki@vbscpa.com if you’d like to deliver a filled box to someone you know who is in need.

The members of St. Vincent de Paul thank you for the support you have given to this program over the years. The Thanksgiving box recipients greatly appreciate your generosity. Resurrection has a long history of making this a successful ministry.

This is a chance to get into the holiday spirit. Join us on Saturday, November 16th at 7:00pm for PassionArt's presentation of The Joyful Sounds presentation. The presentation will be in the Church. There will be a free will offering for this community group. Please consider supporting this amazing group.

QCD

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $105,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions.

RMD

Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you reach age 72.

If you are over 72 years of age you qualify to take annual distributions from your retirement account to make tax free donations to charities of your choice.

Resurrection Church is a qualified public charity 501(c)(3) and can receive your QCD.

We thank you in advance for considering Resurrection Catholic Church and School as recipients of your donations.
