Calling all volunteers! The city of Rosenberg is currently accepting applications for citizens interested in serving on various boards, commissions, committees and task forces within the City. These are volunteer positions essential to the operation of City government who provide valuable insight and direction on various City issues and events.
Open positions currently include:
- Animal Control Shelter Advisory Board (7 positions)
- 1 Licensed Veterinarian
- 1 Animal Welfare Organization Reps (must be resident of city)
- Up to 5 Animal Welfare Volunteers/Citizen Reps (must be resident of city)
- Image Committee (minimum 7 positions)
- Must be resident of city or owner of property or a business located in the city
- Parks and Recreation Board (7-13 positions)
- Must be resident of city or owner of property or a business located in the city
- Rosenberg Development Corporation (2 positions)
- Must reside in the City limits
- Water/Wastewater Impact Fee Advisory Task Force (2 positions)
- 1 position for Real Estate Industry/Development Rep
- 1 ETJ Citizen Rep
- Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) Evaluation Committee (4 positions)
- Must be resident of city or owner of a business located in the city
Citizens interested in serving in the positions may submit the application online here, can fill out the application here, and submit to City Secretary Danyel Swint at dswint@rosenbergtx.gov or deliver in person or via mail to City Secretary, 2110 4th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471. All applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Appointments may be made at the June 6, 2023, City Council Meeting. Service on a City board, committee, commission or task force is a privilege and responsibility, which could involve a significant time commitment. Citizens must pass a background check before they can serve and if appointed, are expected to attend meetings as scheduled and be an active participant.
