CURRENT EVENTS ALERT

VIKINGS ON CAPE COD

For 40 years Neil Good, one of our long time volunteers, has been researching the question whether WWWII training site Washburn Island could be Vinland from the Viking Sagas. Retired Special Forces Officer, experimental archologist, Mitch Utterback conducted a superb lecture on the subject. It was held at the Falmouth Community Veterans Center and filmed by FCTV. I highly recommend you click on the link in the blue button above and watch it. If you want more you can visit the Vikings on Cape Cod exhibit at the Falmouth Museums on the Greens.

(Our mascot Sgt. Stubby is in the opening photo)

This program is designed to be more of conversation than a traditional lectuer-questions, comments, and shared insights are welcome!

WE NEED A COUPLE VOLUNTEERS TO HELP MAN OUR TABLE AT THE STAND DOWN for VETERANS EVENT.

Our usual volunteers have been beset with spousal illness and injuries. I will be there at 8:30 to set up. All we are trying to do is raise awareness, get emails for newsletter and enlist more volunteers! (we need them!)
