Parmer Lane Fire
The Texas A&M Forest Service reported Thursday, August 10 that the 37-acre Parmer Lane Fire is now 100% contained. Firefighters will remain in the area for the next few days to monitor the area and ensure no changes in conditions.

We want to extend a HUGE Thank You to the over twenty fire departments and agencies that joined in the efforts to fight the fire and contain it. Of course, we extend an I ❀️ Cedar Park to our Cedar Park Fire Department, Cedar Park Police Department, Office of Emergency Management, Public Works, Animal Control and other City Departments who provided support for the intensive efforts to control and contain the blaze.

The City also sends a big shout-out to our Cedar Park community! When asked to stop outdoor watering to support firefighting efforts, Cedar Park residents immediately responded. And when it comes to neighbors helping neighbors, compassion and generosity, the Cedar Park community really shines! Thank you Cedar Park! The City is collaborating with the Central Texas Community Foundation to collect, manage and distribute financial donations for those affected by the fire at  CENTRAL TEXAS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION INC - Parmer Lane Fire Recovery Fund
Starting on Monday, August 14, Outdoor Watering Goes to One Day Per Week
Due to the prolonged dry weather conditions and the rapidly decreasing water levels in Lake Travis, effective Monday, August 14, the City of Cedar Park will enter Stage 3 of the Drought Contingency Plan. This means outdoor watering will be limited to one day per week. Moving to Stage 3 is implemented when the combined storage of Lakes Travis and Buchanan reaches 900,000 acre-feet and the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), manager of the water supply, calls for a 10-20% reduction in overall water consumption.
