Our Commitment to Reconciliation

September 30 is a day to remember, reflect and listen. On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we recognize the lasting impacts of the residential school system and encourage our team and community to make space for Indigenous voices, stories and experiences. It is also an opportunity to consider what reconciliation means in the places where we live and work - not only today, but throughout the year.

What Could a Project of This Scale Mean for the Peace Region?

That’s a question we’re working to understand through a multi-year assessment process. Our expanded Communities page explores how local input is helping us better understand potential effects and opportunities - from workforce and local business to housing, infrastructure, health and well-being.

Energy Lives Here: The People and Businesses Behind our Work

Every successful project starts with people. Long before construction plans take shape, there are conversations to have, communities to connect with, information to gather and early work to be done. As we advance the Project, people and businesses across the Peace Region are helping make that work possible.

Ultimately, the Peace Region has a strong foundation, and there are a number of potential economic opportunities ahead. Our role as a local media business is to continue informing the community as those opportunities, projects and decisions develop. - Lindsay Parenteau and Jonathan Babiy
