Job Shadowing Days
All current DACC Students will not be reporting to school on February 22nd, 23rd and March 4th. Students will have the opportunity to complete the following:

  • Job shadowing in their chosen career field or
  • Complete online remote learning assignments

Anyone participating in a job shadowing experience should fill out the appropriate forms that will be distributed by CTE Instructors. Lab instructors will be assisting students with job shadowing placements. Students can complete a full day job shadowing experience of nine or more hours. This will count as three days of attendance in the lab program as your student is in lab three hours a day. If your student only attends half-day, the job shadowing experience can only be during the duration of the lab, unless you are granted permission from your home school to attend the job shadowing experience all day.

Please note that full-day students will be responsible for completing alternative assignments for academics.

All job shadowing forms are due to your student’s instructor(s) no later than February 19, 2022. Access the DACC Job Shadowing Form here.

All online remote learning assignments are due to instructors no later than March 7, 2022.

Failure to return the required assignments or proof of job shadowing would mean that the day(s) of school missed will be counted as an unexcused absence(s).

We are proud of our programs and believe that we offer unique and valuable educational options for area students. We appreciate your support of this important endeavor.
Blended Learning Academy (BLA)
Current juniors recently heard a presentation about a new opportunity for taking academic courses at DACC.

BLA is a new approach to DACC academic classes that will be available to qualified, full-day seniors for the 2022-2023 school year.

Here is what a typical week will look like in BLA:
  • Mondays and Wednesdays, students will be required to attend in-person class following a regular schedule.
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, students will complete assignments and activities from home. During these days, students will be able to work at their own pace, but will have virtual access to their teachers during their assigned period time through video conferencing.
  • Fridays will look and feel like Hybrid Fridays with students qualifying to work from home. Students who are struggling or have transportation issues will be able to attend DACC on any of the virtual days, follow their schedule, and receive more 1-on-1 help from their teachers. Students are required to attend lab daily.
New - watch the presentation our students received. This presentation has been recorded and narrated by our academic instructors.
