Microsoft Teams A Strong Business Alternative To Zoom
With an increased usage of video conferencing in business settings, it's wise for many organizations to continually look for options in the space even if its not something they actively use and may just be something they could need in the future.
That's why Microsoft has spent the last few years steadily improving on the Teams experience, allowing it to serve as an alternative to programs like Zoom, GoToMeeting, WebX, etc.
Microsoft has added many features as they look to ease the user experience and concerns. Among others, key updates have included end to end encryption, the ability to only allow invited parties to join, the ability to disable video as the host, and more.
Of course, Teams also separates itself as it provides a constantly active chat channel that users in an organization can utilize to communicate with each other.
It is also part of the Microsoft services, meaning that many organizations may have access to it already. Organizations utilizing Microsoft apps like Word and Excel as well as services like Exchange email, OneDrive, or Sharepoint may already have users licensed for the Teams services.
This not only means that the program could integrate better into your organization's work flow, but it may also be something that you are paying for for some or all users in addition to other internal chat and video conferencing apps.
