A huge thank you to our incredible PTO for organizing another amazing K-5th Field Day! The smiles on our students' faces said it all. We are so grateful for everything our PTO does for our students and families!

Finally, we have a field construction update. The start date for field construction has been pushed back to mid-May due to our recent weather. A friendly reminder that construction carpool procedures remain in effect until further notice. Please continue to follow the updated carpool map, arrive at your designated time, stay in your vehicle, and keep your carpool tag visible. Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation!

We are deeply grateful to our amazing Bearcat community for honoring Evie this week. Seeing the hearts displayed in the carpool line and throughout the halls, from creative art projects to spirited dress, truly warmed our hearts. It means so much to us to witness the collective support of SMS.

Monday: We appreciate you a latte! Coffee truck for faculty and staff

Tuesday: Words of affirmation. Students create special thank you notes for faculty and staff.

Wednesday: Room service. Custom snack delivery for faculty and staff.

Thursday: Favorite things. Students can wear their teacher's favorite color shirt with uniform bottoms. Spirit Dress guidelines apply.

Friday: Faculty and staff appreciation luncheon. Parent volunteers are needed for classroom coverage.

MICHELLE A. MENDEZ LIFETIME SERVICE AWARD

Nominations are due by Sunday, May 10th

Inspired by her dedication to service,

the Michelle A. Mendez Lifetime Service Award

was created in an effort to recognize a current 8th grade parent who shares her

passion for serving others. In order to ensure every consideration is made,

nominations from the community will be carefully considered. The following

criteria will assist in determining the candidate’s eligibility for the award.

The nominee must:

Be a parent or guardian of a current 8th grade student
Volunteer his or her time, talent, and treasure by serving any organization within the school, church, or greater community
Lead by example, representing the virtues of St. Monica herself
