UPDATE! NIGHTTIME PILE DRIVING ACTIVITIES RESCHEDULED

Crews are expected to perform nighttime pile driving at the Sand Canyon Avenue/I-5 bridge. This work must take place at night to safely accommodate large equipment and reduce daytime traffic impacts.

What to Expect:

NOISE: Pile driving will generate loud noise and repetitive hammering sounds.
VIBRATION: Nearby properties may experience temporary ground vibrations.

Anticipated Schedule

Crews will mobilize equipment and begin closures as early as 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 and drive piles until approximately 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15.

This work will require the following ramp, lane and connector closures:

Northbound (NB) I-5 Sand Canyon Avenue off-ramp
NB SR-133 Connector to NB I-5
NB I-5 outside lanes between SR-133 and Yale Avenue
Westbound (WB) Sand Canyon two outside lanes closest to the curb at I-5 Bridge
WB Sand Canyon bike path lane
WB Sand Canyon sidewalk

*This work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

*Freeway and street lane closures will occur regularly throughout the duration of the project's construction. At least one lane will be open to traffic at all times, unless otherwise specified. See closure section above for more information.
