Dear friends and colleagues,
We made it to 2026 – the year when the first boomers turn 80!
There are so many business and investment opportunities to help older adults and their caregivers navigate this moment. Expect mobility, memory, chronic care management, social isolation, metabolic, and preventative health to see continued investment. We had a great discussion about these opportunities at our two events adjacent to the JP Morgan Health Care conference. We are grateful that SF AgeTech partnered with us at the wonderful Hanwha AI Innovation Center.
Another exciting development is the release of Laurie Orlov’s new report -- AI and Older Adults: What's Now and Next in 2026. Read every word and share it with your team and others. It is a first-rate analysis.
I also participated in the selection of the five finalists for the Longitude Prize on Dementia. The finalists are AUTONOMOUS, CrossSense, MemoryAide, Supersense Technologies, and Theora 360. Stay tuned for the winner, which will be announced in March 2026. I was also excited to see so many wonderful companies at the AgeTech Competition After Dark. This year's finalists included Accelera, ATDev, Captify, Memcara, and Kinemo, Inc., each presenting solutions addressing real challenges across aging, health, accessibility, mobility, rehabilitation, and care. Congratulations to the winner – Captify.
If you want to keep up to date on these and other exciting developments in the longevity field, book an early bird ticket for the 23rd What’s Next Longevity Venture Summit on June 16-18 in San Francisco. It sold out the past four years!
Warmly,
Mary
