MAS-SSF had a blast co-sponsoring National Night Out at the Savannah at Southport Apartments in West Sacramento on August 4th. More than 100 neighbors came out for an event full of food, games, prizes, and community connection.
On a warm Tuesday for more than three hours, residents enjoyed halal hot dogs, bolani, refreshments, popsicles, carnival games, bubbles, freshly popped popcorn, and plenty of raffle excitement. Police and Fire Department representatives were there too and encouraged kids and parents to talk with them, ask questions, and feel comfortable in their presence, reinforcing that they are there to support, protect, and serve the community.
Our team also shared information about our Shifa for Youth Program, including wellness support, family and youth engagement, and youth peer support. It was a fun-filled night, and we were excited to see so many families interested in learning more about MAS-SSF services.
