DepositLink Rollout

DepositLink sent an activation email to all agents to log in, set up a password, and begin using the platform.
DepositLink allows Buyers to send escrow from the comfort of their home using a secure, online system. Facts:
-It's easy to use.
-This is only for Escrow. 
-We are still accepting checks for Escrow at this time, but DepositLink is our preferred method.

Here are some ideas on how to let agents/buyers know we are using DepositLink.
See below for info you can put in your listings and also for Coop Agents when offers are accepted. 
  • in the agent comments in MLS: “We prefer escrow deposits be submitted electronically using DepostLink. Instructions will be sent upon acceptance of an offer.“
  • upon acceptance of an offer send this: “As detailed in the listing we prefer to have EMD's provided electronically which removes the opportunity for fraud and also eliminates the process of getting a check from point A to point B. We use DepositLink for this process. I have attached a copy of the flyer explaining how the process works for both you and the buyer. Once we have the fully executed documents I'll forward a link that you can send to your client which will allow them to send the EMD electronically.”

Opcity Update
For agents who currently get Opcity leads:
We have a new payment process.
Opcity will no longer be paid on the ALTA.
You must still email the ALTA to Opcity, then
Lenny our Finance Director will pay Opcity.

New Opcity Guidelines here

For agents who don't currently get Opcity leads:
OpCity is a lead referral company & a subsidiary of REALTOR.com.
There is no charge upfront to participate.
Their referral fee for leads that close is up to 40%
on all commissions received & on the Broker Fee.
If you would like to participate in OpCity to receive leads,
SSL Security Certificate

The security for your Chime website is offered at no extra charge to you.
It has to be updated yearly by emailing support@chimeinc.com
and asking them to renew your SSL Certificate.
It's a quick fix, but it must be initiated by you.

Be sure to check out your website periodically.
You will know it needs to be renewed
if you go to your website & get a security error message.

Continuing Education

PA License renewal is coming up in May 2022. For the 2020-2022 renewal cycle, the requirement is that a minimum of 3.5 hours of the required 14 hours of continuing education must be taken on the topics of Redlining, Steering, Implicit Bias, Diversity, and the Fair Housing Act.

Also, due by the end of this year is Ethics training. ETHICS OVER INSTINCTS: SHARPENING THE REAL ESTATE GPS is offered by Tri-County Suburban REALTORS®, info here.
Per PA, Realtor® members are required to complete a minimum of 2.5 hours of approved Code of Ethics training every three years.
