Celebrating Small Businesses
Will you be open for Small Business Saturday, November 30?
For the 3rd year, the SWLA Alliance's Quality of Life Task Force is working with American Express to celebrate Small Business Saturday! The Alliance is putting together a Directory of participating businesses, their hours, location, and and specials for Small Business Saturday!

In its first year, our directory had over 3000 downloads of regional shoppers who wanted a means to support their local small businesses! This year, we will be placing the directory and its exclusive deals on our  SWLA Connection app !

To be a part of the directory, contact Amanda White at  awhite@allianceswla.org, or complete this directory form.

New Members!
Yellowfin Distillery is our latest Choose Local participant!

Choose Local is a program that encourages shoppers to consider choosing local when they pick their future vendors. We know that consumers have many options available, but we ask that everyone take a moment to consider choosing local and the effects spending locally has our on economy. For every $100 spent at a local business, $73 stays local, spurring more economic activity. (Only $1 out of a $100 stays local if the purchase is made online.) We need to support our local businesses as they support local events, sports teams, and non-profits. If you are interested in being a part of Choose Local, contact Amanda White at  awhite@allianceswla.org .
Member Events
Our members and other partners within the Southwest Louisiana business community are often hosting events of interest to our membership, so we try to post as many as we see on our Business Community Calendar! It is available 24/7 on our website.
