Race Against Domestic Violence!

Join us for the 28th Annual Race Against Domestic Violence to benefit our mission on Sunday, May 18th! From Autumn Arch Brewery, we'll enjoy a morning run/walk, awards ceremony and event reception with race-themed T-shirts, post race snacks, and of course, Autumn Arch adult beverages.

Upcoming Events

This year, in lieu of our Annual Gala, we are planning a new event to make its debut in the Spring of 2026. More information will be forthcoming, so remain connected for all of the latest news and updates on this exciting announcement. Staff News

Training Panelists

Two of CHILD, Inc.'s superstar staff members, Donna (far left) and Tisha (far right), were panelists at the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence's advocates' training this week. They were part of a plenary session entitled, "Financial Empowerment: Mapping Out a Safer Future" and received rave reviews for their insights and passion for this important issue.

Kudos to Caroline Romeo, Coordinator of Parenting Education Program, for her award from the Delaware Tristate Bird Rescue. 

Caroline was acknowledged for her volunteer work with two awards: the Unsung Hero award and the Community Connector Award (presented to Caroline and her spouse Rob). Congratulations, Caroline! 

Program Spotlight - Parenting Classes

Our Children Come Without Instructions class series provides practical, relevant information in a supportive learning environment.


Participants learn strategies and develop skills designed to increase confidence and make parenting more effective & rewarding.


These interactive classes incorporate a variety of teaching modalities designed to encourage active participation by all attendees; lecture, class discussions, handouts, breakout sessions, small group activities, videos & new skill practice/ rehearsal.


Our curriculum is researched based, evidenced informed and incorporates the protective factors identified by U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Children’s Bureau, as essential components of effective parenting programs.


Parenting education classes offered in-person and via zoom. Our Parent Education staff is also available for speaking engagements, workshop and trainings.
