So no one in our community goes hungry.

North Beach Singers Gave Us December ‘Round the World

This holiday season, the North Beach Singers continued their cherished tradition of performing benefit concerts in support of local food banks. Their program, December ’Round the World, filled the room with the joy and warmth of the season while helping ensure our shelves remain stocked for neighbors in need. We are deeply grateful for their generosity—and for the beautiful gift of music they shared with our entire community.

December by the Numbers

Total households served: 1,085

Total household members: 2,474

New families: 27

Kids' Books distributed: 110

Number of volunteer hours logged: 1,130

Recently, one of our volunteers visited Summit Pacific in Elma. A staff member there recognized her as part of the Ocean Shores Food Bank team—and immediately grew emotional.

She shared that before beginning her job at the clinic, she had visited the food bank. When she first walked through our doors, she was apprehensive, unsure of what the experience would be like. It was her first time ever visiting a food bank, and she admitted feeling anxious and uncertain about what to expect.

“You guys treated me so well,” she said. “I truly appreciate what you do.”

Her words are a powerful reminder of the dignity and kindness that define our mission. Today, she is thriving in her career, but she has never forgotten the support she received during a difficult time.

Stories like hers show how your generosity makes a lasting impact—helping neighbors not only in moments of need but also toward brighter futures.

Nourish Hope in the New Year

As we begin a new year, we are filled with gratitude for the compassion you’ve shown our community. No one should have to choose between paying bills and eating, yet this is the reality many of our neighbors face. People who never imagined needing a food pantry are now turning to the Ocean Shores Food Bank for help — and because of you, we are here for them.

Last year, 1,253 distinct households were welcomed through our doors. Each one was able to fill their grocery carts with quality, nutritious food that met their family’s needs. Every week, 225–250 households visit the food bank, and over the course of the year, over 350,000 pounds of food were shared with our community.

Our guests often tell us how much this support means to them. One told us, “Being able to use the food bank has made us feel blessed and cared for in a way that is hard to express. The love and support that the volunteers at the Ocean Shores Food Bank provide is priceless.”

As an all‑volunteer organization, we are powered entirely by the generosity of people like you. Last year, our volunteers donated 12,944 hours of their time. Because of this extraordinary commitment, 98% of every donated dollar went directly to providing food and services.

As we look back on 2025 and ahead to 2026, we are deeply grateful — and mindful that many in our community continue to face hardship. Rising costs and gaps in the social safety net mean more families are relying on us. As our numbers grow, we are committed to meeting the need with dignity, respect, and compassion.

With your continued support, we can ensure that every neighbor who comes to us is welcomed with nutritious food, kindness, and hope.

Together, we can make sure no one in our community goes hungry.
