Dear Families of Rising Seniors (Class of 2027),

We’re excited to share news that the opening of this school year for the Class of 2027 will include an overnight retreat to Salt Fork Lodge in Kimbolton, Ohio, roughly two hours from Columbus Academy. Your children already heard this news at school, but we are excited to have you mark your calendars.

Save the Date

When: Sunday, August 23, to Monday, August 24

Where: Salt Fork Lodge

How: Buses will depart at 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning, August 23, from Academy’s upper school bus circle and return students Monday afternoon, well before school ends and athletic practices begin (Monday is the first day of classes for Upper School and Middle School).

Designed to build community and help them consider their role as a senior class in a larger community, students will have time to socialize and do some thinking about the important year ahead of them. Weather permitting, the evening will close with a bonfire and s’mores. More details along with permission forms will be made available in the coming weeks. A charge of $115 will be made to each student’s account to help with buses and accommodations.

Additionally, a separate link is being sent to your children to help us gather information to make their rooming assignments. Please mention it to them in case they haven’t checked email lately.
