Dear Friends and Neighbors,

My office filed criminal charges of assault, unauthorized practice and reckless endangerment this week against a cosmetologist accused of providing beauty treatments without a license, injuring a woman.

As alleged, Fei Min, of Princess Beauty, Inc. on Union Street in Flushing, repeatedly injected unknown substances into the face, neck and breasts of a client and purported that she was providing Botox, collagen and other treatments.

The victim suffered a painful reaction on her neck including redness, swelling, blisters, burning, itchiness and substantial pain. The victim’s neck remains disfigured.

I encourage anyone who may have visited the defendant’s business and suffered any injuries to contact our consumer fraud helpline at 718-286-6673.

I also urge anyone seeking cosmetic treatments to first check the credentials of the provider with the New York State Education Department Office of the Professions.

My top priority will always be keeping you and your loved ones safe.

In Friendship,

Melinda Katz

Queens District Attorney

DAASNY Winter Conference

I was proud to join Governor Kathy Hochul and District Attorneys from across the state in announcing a series of improvements and essential changes to streamline New York’s discovery laws.

Governor Hochul's proposed reforms were part of her 2025 State of the State address and are intended to end procedural delays and prevent the automatic dismissals of cases.

The parade was a spectacular showcase of tradition, unity and hope. I thank the organizers for bringing communities together to celebrate the promise of prosperity and good fortune in the year ahead.
