Student Club Applications

Student Club Applications open on Tuesday, September 8, and will be accepted until Monday, September 21. The club application will be sent out on Canvas when it opens. Before applying, please review the list of returning clubs for the 2026-2027 school year to see whether your club idea matches one that already exists. If so, we encourage you to reach out to the club president or visit their table during Club Rush to get involved, rather than submitting a new application.

All Crean Lutheran clubs must align with our school's mission of proclaiming Jesus Christ, and support who we are and what we believe. We can accept only 50 clubs each school year, so clubs should strive to address a need not already met by school classes, cohorts, co-curricular programs, or returning clubs when applying. The decision committee will review all club applications after the deadline closes.

Review the following information: Club Requirements & Advisor Roles. Please be sure to ask a faculty or staff member to advise your club before listing them in the application. They must agree to the role before you submit the application.

Club Application Timeline:

  • Tuesday, September 8 - Club Applications OPEN
  • Monday, September 21 - Club Applications CLOSE at midnight
  • Thursday, September 24 - Emails are sent to all clubs and advisors informing them whether your club has been accepted for the 2026-2027 school year.
  • Tuesday, September 29 - Club Rush (Accepted Clubs Only)

If you have any questions, please email SLT@creanlutheran.org.

Make-Up Picture Day - Wednesday, September 9

Make-up Picture Day will take place on Wednesday, September 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Fireside Conference Room (located next to the front desk). This picture day is for students who were unable to attend Saints Day. Due to time restrictions, we are unable to accommodate picture retakes.

Students must wear a Crean Lutheran polo for their photo. We ask that students take their photo during an open block, passing period, or lunch. If they must take their photo during class time, we ask that they go at the beginning of the block and then visit the front desk for a pass to class.

Please note: This is our only make-up photo opportunity this year. Students who do not take a photo will not be included in the yearbook. For seniors, this photo will only be used for their Student ID. Seniors will still need to take a Senior Portrait at the South Coast Photographic Studio for the yearbook.

If you have any questions, please email SLT@creanlutheran.org.

NART Mission Trip - September 24 - 28

The Native American Reservation Trip (NART for short) focuses on building bridges between the community of Bishop, CA, in the Sierra Nevada, and the Paiute tribe. We are blessed to partner with our sister school, Orange Lutheran, on this initiative. While we serve together in Bishop, students will have the opportunity to share the love of Christ with the people through a variety of work and witness opportunities, including serving at local area churches, helping with yardwork and beautification projects at the homes of community elders, and even serving each other around the campsite as we prepare to serve and worship together. The trip dates are Thursday, September 24, to Monday, September 28, with an early Thursday-morning departure and a Monday-evening return. Students will miss three days of school.

EF Boston Tour Interest Meeting - Tuesday, September 1

This summer, Mrs. Arteaga will lead a STEM-focused educational tour to Boston, Massachusetts! On this trip, students will get the opportunity to conduct experiments and participate in hands-on workshops. They will explore Boston's unique features and understand why it is home to some of the world’s most advanced laboratories, universities, and companies. They will also hear from top scientists, engineers, and researchers from MIT, the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the California Academy of Sciences, and more, who explain the real-world value of a STEM education. The tour is led by the world-renowned company EF, which provides 24-hour security, local tour directors who lead the group through the city, and experienced experts who tailor the trip to the interests of enrolled students. The excursion is a 5-day trip scheduled between June 6 and 14 (specific dates will be confirmed in the spring), during which students will engage with Boston's scientific culture through experiential learning. It is a great opportunity for students to travel and learn alongside their peers and some of their teachers!

Students interested in learning more are invited to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 1, at 6:00 p.m. in A107b.
